EcoGathering: Mutual Aid

Register Here!

Mutual aid is the act of caring for one another while we work to change the world around us. It is a form of tending to our roots so strong ecosystems can grow. Everyone has something to offer and everyone has something they need. When we come together we can nourish one another and ourselves.

For this EcoGathering, we are joined by Sterling student, Ollie Quinn. Ollie worked this past fall to create an Informal Community Book Club which provided free copies of Mutual Aid by Dean Spade to community members. Organized group discussions followed book dispersals which created a group which now stays in communication and works together beyond just meeting as a book club. Questions which continue to surface include: What are ways we can show up for each other in and out of times of crisis? What are ways we can connect people who are willing to share skills with those who want to learn?

Let us continue the conversation.
